I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
